LATEST FROM GREATER GEORGIA HOLDING DEKALB ACCOUNTABLE: Last week, Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler issued a statement in support of SB 222, a new bill to keep outside money out of elections offices in Georgia. Thanks to our year-round election integrity efforts, were able to blow the whistle on the $2M grant accepted by DeKalb County Board of Elections earlier this month - and support critical legislative action to ensure special interests cannot buy influence in Georgia elections. From the press release: "What's happening right now in Georgia is crystal clear: ideological groups and certain counties are testing our resolve to enforce state law, while attempting to influence local elections,” said Loeffler. "Thankfully, Lt. Governor Burt Jones and our lawmakers have taken swift action to fortify existing laws that ban outside funding for local boards of election through SB 222, which will ensure that our elections are never bought and paid for by special or partisan interests. Greater Georgia is proud to endorse the legislation, and calls for its urgent passage by members of the Georgia General Assembly." To read the full press release, CLICK HERE. BLACK LEADERS ROUNDTABLE: Last week, Greater Georgia Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler met with Black conservative leaders from across the state of Georgia. The event was filled with lively conversations - where we discussed a range of ideas. We look forward to continuing our work with the Black community to advance our movement. A big thank you to all who participated! WASHINGTON WOES Last newsletter, we reported on the White House's disastrous handling of the train derailment and toxic spill in Ohio. We've got an update for you: 20 long days after the spill, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg visited East Palestine. While there, his press secretary refused to take questions on camera. These actions, or rather, inactions, are deeply concerning to the American people. We are continuing to pray for East Palestine.
