Today in Springfield, in the House Elementary and Secondary Education Appropriations Committee, early childhood advocates will provide testimony in support of the Governor’s proposed budget and its historic increases to early childhood education. This hearing will focus largely on early education funding, and advocates will remind lawmakers of the proposed increases not only in the ISBE budget for Preschool for All and Prevention Initiative programs, but also the importance of investments in the Department of Human Services for Early Intervention, home visiting and child care.

Even if you’ve already contacted your lawmaker, please do so again!
