Together, we’re fighting GOP attempts to cut our earned benefits to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

John,

In an interview with CNBC, Donald Trump just said that he plans to cut our earned benefits “toward the end of the year.”[1]

Ever since he signed his tax scam into law, he and congressional Republicans have used their self-created budget deficit to attempt to cut Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and so much more, just to pay for their tax cuts for the rich and corporations.

Tell Democrats in the House of Representatives: Stand firm against any attempt by Donald Trump and congressional Republicans to cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for the rich.

Instead of a Tax Scam 2 to benefit the richest 1%―which Trump says he will propose in 90 days―it’s time that we repealed the $2 trillion tax scam for the rich and corporations and invest in critical services for working families.[2]

Trump’s announcement should come as no surprise. After running in 2016 on a pledge to protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, Trump quickly ditched that promise by introducing federal budgets that would cut trillions of dollars from our earned benefits and other critical services.

He’s attempted to cut Medicare, slash Medicaid and destroy the Affordable Care Act, which provides healthcare to 20 million people.

And, he’s appointed members of his administration―including his Tea Party Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney―who have spent their careers attempting to destroy our earned benefits.

Sign the petition to Democrats in the House to fight back against Donald Trump’s attempts to cut our earned benefits. And, stop a Tax Scam 2, which will be just another handout to the richest 1%.

Together, we’re fighting to create a tax system and an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy few.

Thank you,

Craig Johnson
