This weekend on CBS News’, CIA Director William Burns said Iran’s nuclear program is advancing at a “worrisome pace,” and “if they chose to cross that line," they would need a "matter of weeks" to enrich uranium for a nuclear weapon.
"In terms of their missile systems, their ability to deliver a nuclear weapon, once they developed it, has also been advancing as well," Burns added.
Iran—the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism—remains Israel and America’s greatest long-term threat in the Middle East.
Beyond its nuclear advancements, Iranian-backed terrorists are fueling the deadly rise in shooting, stabbing, bombing and car-ramming attacks across Israel.
Iran is also sending Putin thousands of suicide drones that are being used to kill innocent civilians in Ukraine. In a recent video, Iran threatened to unleash its deadly drones on Israeli and American targets in the Middle East.
As Iran grows bolder, we must continue to ensure our leaders in Washington understand this threat and support policies that help keep America and Israel safe.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
