Dear John,

There are just a few hours left until my end-of-month fundraising deadline, and I’m reaching out to see if you’ll chip in to help us cross the finish line. We have just hours to go until we hit our $10,000 goal!

I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important, so let me break down why contributions now are so helpful to our campaign:

• In just a few months, we will begin opening field offices in Vermont. These field offices will be vital to reaching voters and engaging people in the political process.
• Right now, my campaign staff is a team of one — my campaign manager, Natalie. We’re going to need to hire additional people to fill critical roles and keep the campaign moving smoothly.
• We’re preparing for the likelihood of a competitive primary. This means we’ll need money for ads, mailers and more needed to stave off a challenger and conservative interest groups that may swoop in. 

I’ve never taken your support for granted, and I’m grateful to have you with me on this campaign. Hitting this goal will help us be as prepared as possible and keep me fighting for you in Washington.
