Hi there, friend.
We’re only two months into Eric’s first term, and he’s already making good on his promise to hold Washington accountable and deliver for the people of Central and Northwest Illinois. In the past couple of weeks, Eric:
|
- Joined the USDA in announcing high-speed internet to rural Illinois. An $18 million investment will help thousands of rural Illinoisans access high-speed internet – critical to receiving an education and even accessing health care service.
- Ensured IL-17 will have a voice in the next Farm Bill. In case you missed it, Eric made his case and was appointed to the House Agriculture Committee. Negotiations over the 2023 Farm Bill will soon begin, and Eric’s prepared to fight for local farms and new investments in renewable energy.
- Spearheaded efforts to remove George Santos from Congress. After news broke that George Santos lied about losing four employees in the 2016 Pulse Shooting, Eric joined a cohort of LGBTQ Democrats in calling on Congress to expel Santos from Congress.
