Our AFSA family members in Puerto Rico are hurting.
After working so hard to recover from Hurricane Maria, which crippled the island a couple years ago, they now have been hit with multiple earthquakes. These quakes have devastated the area and wreaked havoc on the infrastructure once again.
As you can understand, several schools are closed -- many have been destroyed -- homes have no power and in some cases, no structure remains to live in.
Educators and their students don't know when schools will open or whether they even will have a safe building to return to attend.
Our sisters and brothers need our helpto keep their families moving forward and support to get schools opened. It will never be back to normal, but anything we can do to stabilize their lives is critical today and over the next few weeks.
Please do whatever you can to help the community get some basic supplies and some hope for the future. Every penny you donate will go directly to support the community.
In solidarity,
Ernest Logan
