Black bear bait site renewal opens March 1

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will open black bear bait site renewals at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 1. The site renewal process may be completed online or in person by visiting or calling a regional Game and Fish office. The application process for new black bear sites begins March 21.


Watercraft last used out-of-state must be inspected for AIS

CHEYENNE ? Spring and summer might feel far away, but boating season is approaching in the Cowboy State. Beginning March 1, any watercraft transported into Wyoming must undergo a mandatory inspection to look for aquatic invasive species. Inspections must be done by a certified AIS inspector prior to launching on any Wyoming waters.


Game and Fish Director invites wildlife enthusiasts to Mule Deer Days

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will no longer be holding the Wyoming Outdoor Expo in Casper and will instead shift to localized, regional events. The change will allow Game and Fish employees to engage and connect with constituents at local partnership events. This transition will kick off at the inaugural Mule Deer Days in Rock Springs, March 10-11.


Game and Fish Commission to meet in Rock Springs

CHEYENNE ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Commission?s next meeting is March 9-10 in Rock Springs. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn, 1657 Sunset Dr. The public is invited to attend in-person or online via ZOOM video conferencing and will have a chance to speak to the Commission on any matter.
