Daily Docket — Monday, Feb. 27

Here are some updates from the last few days.

With the Wyoming legislative session coming to an end on March 3, several election bills are moving through the Republican-controlled Legislature and heading to Gov. Mark Gordon’s (R) desk. Here’s a breakdown of the bills, including a requirement to show ID when requesting a mail-in ballot in person and a bill adding concealed carry permits to the list of acceptable IDs to vote. According to a report in NBC News, amateur voter fraud hunters challenged 92,000 Georgia voter registrations last year. Georgia’s 2021 voter suppression law includes a provision that empowers individuals to make an unlimited number of challenges. [link removed]

Here’s what to expect coming up.

Tomorrow, the U.S. Supreme Court will release decisions in pending cases. The Court could announce opinions in any of the cases that have already been argued, including the major voting rights cases Merrill v. Milligan and Moore v. Harper. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
