John — Our team got a peek at how this race is shaping up, and I had to share it with you:
The good news? This is effectively becoming a two-way race and our grassroots coalition has solidified Helen’s position as a leading candidate for Philly voters.
The not-so-good news? It also proves that money is having a huge impact on this race, and Jeff Brown’s personal wealth and wealthy allies have clearly given him an early advantage.
But with such a large number of undecided Philly voters, it’s still anyone’s game. Can you rush $10 right now to help us reach more undecided voters over the next few weeks?
Here’s a direct link, John: actblue.com/donate/[email protected]
I get it: This race is crowded right now and it’s hard to find the truth through all the noise.
But the reality is, Philly voters will be faced with a choice this spring — between a self-funded millionaire who is hellbent on ending critical funding for our city’s children to get quality pre-K education; and a tough Philly mom whose mission has been to fight for safe quality public schools and livable communities for decades, long before she ever held political office.
Philly deserves a Mayor who has consistently and tirelessly worked to make this city a better place for everyone. Someone like Helen, who has restored nurses and counselors to our schools, created an eviction diversion program that kept thousands of people housed, and guaranteed a predictable schedule for 130,000 Philly workers.
We clearly have the grassroots strength to win, but we have to keep up our momentum. John, can we count on you to help us raise the $1,071 we need to hit tomorrow night’s end-of-month fundraising goal?
I’m meeting with our team first thing tomorrow to discuss our strategy, but I had to make sure you saw this first. Thanks for pitching in and your continued support, John!
