#VOTEPROCHOICE

Friends and allies, The crisis we’re facing is that of reproductive oppression in America. 14 states ban most abortions, with 4 more banning abortion between 15 and 20 weeks. 24.5 million people of reproductive age don’t have access to abortion care. 5x more low-income women experience unintended pregnancies than affluent women. 72% of people denied abortion care end up in poverty. This is exactly why our mission to inform and engage the nation’s prochoice majority to elect prochoice champions at every level is more critical than ever. Last year, we won everywhere that abortion was on the ballot, from Kansas to California to Montana. We know that abortion is popular everywhere and that with the right investments, any state can be the next Kansas. Our approach is all about investing where our work is most impactful: we’re focused on registering, educating, and mobilizing high-potential voters who are not traditionally targeted by existing Democratic infrastructures. We endorse and support diverse down-ballot candidates with a reproductive justice lens. And we collaborate with 200+ progressive partners to create programming that is always additive, never duplicative. And our tactics work. From 2016-2022, we have engaged more than 84 million prochoice voters, distributed more than 64 million voter guides, researched more than 163,000 candidates, endorsed nearly 2600 prochoice champions, coached nearly 1000, and we’ve achieved a win rate of over 62% in some of the toughest races in the country. We’ve got a lot cooking this year, so read on to learn more about what makes the #VOTEPROCHOICE secret sauce. #VOTEPROCHOICE Our tactics Voter Education & Mobilization: Voter guides featuring pro-choice recommendations in every race, from state legislature to city council to school board; A paid media strategy supports distribution of our guide, costs as low as $6.11/per voter; We’ve collaborated with 200+ partners on endorsement and distribution to produce the most-used progressive voter guide. Targeted program to register pro-choice voters at just $2/voter; Targeted texting to turn out low propensity, high potential voters, as low as $0.10/text; 204,000 texts sent in 2022 to 72,000 eligible voters in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan; In 2023-2024 programming, we aim to contact 2.26 million eligible voters in Nevada, Arizona, and Ohio. Endorsements and Candidate Coaching: We prioritize outreach to ALL Democratic candidates in priority states; We use a reproductive justice endorsement rubric and emphasize down-ballot, women of color candidates; Individual and cohort coaching focuses on campaign strategy, messaging, digital strategy, and personal support; Amplification of candidates via livestreams and social media campaigns; A new partnership with ActBlue helps build small-dollar donor programs for our down-ballot candidates. Patients don't belong in jail, and providers don't belong in handcuffs: Focused on election District Attorneys, Judges, Sheriffs, Coroners, Mayors, and City Councilmembers who can decriminalize abortion at the local level; Working in 14-16 urban centers in red and purple states; At least 2,348 Judges, 205 District Attorneys, 75 Coroners, and 299 Sheriffs up for election. Our work is more important than ever, so if you're able, donate today as we continue the fight for reproductive freedom.

#VOTEPROCHOICE is electing a new class of prochoice champions to fight for our autonomy to control our own bodies. Every elected official must protect reproductive freedom.
