Friend,
Together, we are on a journey to lift up our communities and ensure an inclusive, diverse country where we are all heard and represented.
I am so honored to represent you in Congress. And what we’ve accomplished this past year is only the beginning.
That’s why yesterday I announced that I’m running for re-election, to build on our successes and keep fighting to ensure that you are heard and represented in the halls of Congress.
Will you pitch in $5 or more today to our re-election campaign to fight for an inclusive future that leaves no one behind?
Whether it’s holding Donald Trump accountable to the American people for his blatant abuse of power and illegal acts, or passing a $15 minimum wage and prescription drug reform in the House of Representatives, or introducing legislation that protects our communities from modern-day redlining, or helping meet people's immediate needs to support themselves and their families: Everything I do is in collaboration with the residents of Michigan's #13thDistrictStrong.
This is true democracy. But the political establishment and economic elite see our movement for change as a threat to their power. And they are preparing to run a campaign of hate and fear to try to tear us down.
They are scared of the power that we wield, together, and are prepared to spend millions of dollars to stop us and maintain the status quo.
But, together, we can counter hate with love to lift up all working people―women, Black and brown people, undocumented people, the LGBTQ+ community, religious minorities, and other marginalized communities who are constantly under attack.
Donate $5 or more today to launch our re-election campaign and fight to ensure that all of our voices are heard and represented in Congress.
I first announced my candidacy for Congress two years ago to fight back against the hate and economic oppression that Donald Trump promotes―and to ensure that government is centered in community and about the people. In 2018 and 2019 we made major progress and demonstrated fierce political courage, but our work is not done.
Together, let’s win an overwhelming victory in 2020 and build the kind of future that we can all be proud of.
Always serving you,
Rashida
