Hi JOhn, it's great to (e-)meet you! I'd like to tell you a bit about myself, and then I'll be asking for you to donate to Jennifer before our February deadline tomorrow.

I recently came aboard the Wexton campaign after years of work in the non-profit sector. I worked to empower women's leadership and promote outreach among immigrant and marginalized communities and groups.

As a constituent of Jennifer's, I saw firsthand how effective at getting results she was. I was inspired by how she (as a working mom) represented a new image of what a politician could look like. And her strong advocacy for reproductive choice, gun safety laws, and domestic violence prevention pushed me to support her with more than just my vote.

Since I joined the campaign, I've been working hard to make sure we can scale up our outreach in communities that too often are left out of the political equation. Because as a Nepali-born immigrant, I know firsthand the struggles many communities of color face – and continue to face. The importance of breaking past language barriers, establishing substantive relationships, educating and empowering our communities to use their voices, and working to fight voter misinformation is just some of the work that we’ll be tackling this campaign cycle. But we have to start laying the groundwork early.

And we need your help. We're trying to hire organizers who can speak directly to our immigrant communities, who can overcome language gaps, and correct any misinformation (because the far right has wasted no time spreading their message). To put it bluntly, this will take a lot of resources.

When March begins, we'll be officially assessing how much we have in the budget to hire our first round of organizers. That's why we're hoping to raise $3,944 more by tomorrow night.

This is going to take a team effort, and grassroots donations from supporters like you really matter, JOhn. So will you rush $10 — or any amount — to help us close our fundraising gap?
