Ten years ago, Texas was at a political crossroads. But we knew – with its size and diversity – Texas had the numbers to win and Republicans knew it too. So over the years they put up intentional barriers at the ballot box for Black, Brown, and young voters. But we didn’t back down.

We believed that we could make Texas a battleground state by treating it like one, and guess what? The margin of Republican victory has shrunk every four years since 2012 . And now nearly 250,000 Texans registered later and over 40,000 volunteer shifts completed – that’s the power of grassroots organizing.
