When it comes to building more affordable housing in the Bay Area, there are two relationships that matter most: the ones we have with the communities we serve and the ones we have with the cities they live in.

So, we’re welcoming a panel of relationship-building experts to discuss strategies that housing activists can use to build and leverage their relationships with city staff and elected officials to promote affordable housing. Attendees will walk away with advice and tips toward productive, collaborative involvement with local policymaking processes.

Feeling overwhelmed by a stack of construction drawings? Then join NPH’s Emerging Leaders Peer Network (EPLN) for this special training on drawing sets, the giant bundles of technical drawings used for permitting, construction, and maintenance of developments.

This training will cover the basics of how construction drawings are organized, dated, and revised. Speakers from David Baker Architects and BRIDGE Housing will also cover tags, schedules, and detail references so you can find doors, equipment, materials, and other common items.
