The bipartisan lobby, U.S.Term Limits, named February 27 “Term Limits Day” because on that date in 1951 the 22nd amendment to the US Constitution was ratified. It limits the Executive branch to two terms.
An increasingly vocal number of citizens think it’s high time to impose term limits on the Legislative branch as well. They want to wave goodby to career politicians, and instead send citizen legislators to Washington--like you!--who would be less worried about getting re-elected, and more interested in doing what’s right for our country.
