Hey John, Eric with Team Beshear here. A lot has happened in this race for Kentucky governor, so I wanted to reach out quickly and give you an update.

I'll start with some exciting news: Polling in our race shows Andy is leading his top Republican challengers! This comes after we learned Andy has the highest approval rating of any Democratic governor in the nation. It's clear Kentuckians are ready for four more years of progress under the Beshear administration.

But it still won't be an easy race. One of Andy's Republican opponents has already gone up on the airwaves with a six-figure ad buy and outside money has entered the race again. That means this campaign will get expensive, and we need your help to ensure we have the resources to compete.

We might be off to a strong start, but experts are predicting that this will be the most competitive race in 2023.
