Today is International Polar Bear Day!

John, polar bears have called the Arctic home for approximately 500,000 years. But now because of climate change, sea ice is rapidly melting beneath their paws and threatening their survival.

To celebrate International Polar Bear Day, check out our interactive webpage to test your knowledge and learn more about these beautiful, powerful and threatened creatures:

Without urgent action to tackle climate change, scientists predict Arctic summer sea ice could disappear around 2050, threatening polar bears and other animals that need sea ice to survive.

What can you do to help polar bears threatened by a warming world? Three things:

1. Symbolically adopt a polar bear by becoming one of 150 new Eco Partner monthly donors. If you start a monthly donation of $15 or more, you can choose a polar bear themed gift and the Robert W. Wilson Charitable Trust will match your first 12 donations $1 for $1, doubling your impact for the next full year. Donate here:
