Friend,
Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) serve some of our
nation’s brightest intellects, graduating 25 percent of African Americans
with degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
These graduates are the next generation of tech entrepreneurs. They are
among the visionaries who will take the digital economy to new heights.
Yet American companies are still unrepresentative of Black talent. And

The private sector can do more by strengthening its partnerships with
HBCUs, recruiting, promoting, and retaining the impressive minds emerging
from these venerable institutions.
But Congress, too, must do its part by increasing funding for HBCUs. This
will provide greater opportunities for graduates to pursue their dreams
and help rebuild our economy.
[ [link removed] ]Sign the petition: Congress must increase funding for HBCUs.
Because when we invest in historically Black education, we invest in
America’s future.
In solidarity,
Ro
