Around this time of year, the Positive Money team and supporters come together to plan our work for the year ahead - to reflect on how we can build a fairer money and banking system that works for people and communities everywhere, faster.

The annual supporter survey is your chance to share your views and help shape Positive Money’s plans in 2023. We’re a people-powered movement, which means we make better decisions when we make them together. Each and every voice is important.

This time last year, nearly 2000 people shared their views in our biggest survey of the year. [1] The answers this year will shape the campaigns, messaging and actions we’ll run together through 2023. And also reveal a bigger picture about who currently makes up our movement - and who we still need to build relationships with.

One of the biggest issues people cared about this time last year was corruption and the revolving door between the finance sector and government. So back in June, we released our Power of Big Finance report and video that exposed the cosy relationship between MPs and big banks. [2] And now we’re working to demand change.

Unlike some of the politicians in power, Positive Money believes in real democracy. Making decisions together as a movement is so important. So do you think we should focus more on exposing the causes of the housing crisis and inequality, or protecting cash and greening financial flows?

Your voice is important, John. The supporter survey allows us to put our heads together, strategise and ensure our time and resources are being used smartly in 2023. When thousands of us pool our views, we can make sure our campaigns get more traction and truly make a difference.
