Dear John,
When you notice a dead animal in the street, a downed tree, or a pothole, wouldn’t it be nice if there was an easy way to report the issue to the city so the right department can respond?
Well now there’s an app for that!
The free “ My Knoxville ” mobile app was launched in Spring of 2021, part of my promise to make City Services transparent and accessible. My Knoxville provides one central hub to access city services, job listings, parking info, events, restaurants, activities, and more. The app can also be used to alert the city to (and track!) streetlight outages, potholes, flooding, and other critical maintenance issues with just the touch of a button. The My Knoxville app complements our 311 call center, which operates during business hours.
Accurate and open data help us serve people better. I am especially proud of our Housing Stability Dashboard [[link removed]] , launched in 2021, that compiles data from the courts and KUB to help prevent people from getting evicted or from having their power cut off. You can access information on housing, capital projects, the budget, and even the city’s tree inventory and more at our open data [[link removed]] web page.
In a second term I plan to revamp our KPD webpage, so crime statistics and KPD policies are more accessible, and to continue sharing maps, data, and progress about our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.
Knowledge is power!
Thank you for your support,
Indya
