John,

Stories of babies saved in response to your prayers at your local abortion facilities are coming in!

A Sarasota, Florida, couple arrived at Planned Parenthood, circled the parking lot, and headed toward the exit.

But before leaving, they stopped to talk with a 40 Days for Life participant, who offered them a brochure, directed them to the pregnancy center, and confirmed that they chose life!

The child spared is the seventh of 2023 for Sarasota, which hosts a year-round 40 Days for Life 365 campaign!

"I think the story here is the amazing 40 Days for Life 365 campaign and its amazing effectiveness," said 40 Days for Life general counsel Matt Britton, who spoke at a campaign launch event.

Rich, the local leader, didn't just host a kickoff rally...he hosted a day-long kickoff conference--attended by about 100 people!

Other speakers included 40 Days for Life leaders of the year Rachel and Suzanne Guy. "What a fabulous Sarasota team," Suzanne said after the event. "They did such a beautiful kickoff event!"

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

A young, desperate woman overwhelmed by the thought of taking care of a baby showed up for an abortion.

Fortunately, Tony was present, praying at the Philadelphia 40 Days for Life vigil.

"He calmed her, shared with her that there is help available, and [reassured her] that she doesn't have to feel alone," reported Monique, who leads one of two campaigns in the City of Brotherly Love.

The mother left the abortion facility--and shared her phone number with vigil participants to follow up!

"If Tony wasn't out there, this little one might not be with us tonight," Monique reflected.

Tulua, Colombia

A young woman, worried about how her parents would react to news of her pregnancy, came to Profamilia for an abortion. Fortunately, a vigil participant approached her to offer help.

The expectant mother accepted an invitation to have a free ultrasound. After hearing her baby's heartbeat, she chose life!

Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the well. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.

--Ecclesiastes 12:6-7

O God, we too often try to live in ways that ignore our coming death. We forget that our days are numbered by You, that at the end of our days Your judgment awaits, that You are the Lord of our destiny. Help us to repent daily and then to live each day in joyful obedience. Lead us to live in the light and promise of eternity. Prepare us to live fully and sacrificially.
