Nottingham City Council?s Community Protection Service is looking to recruit for the position of Community Protection Officers (CPO?s), a unique and innovative role where you will make a difference to residents lives and the wider community. You will build strong links within the community and deal with issues which matter most to?citizens?on a frontline level. ?? ???

As a Community Protection Officer, you will spend 80% of your time on the streets where you will conduct high visibility patrols with the aim to tackle criminal activity, investigate and deal with environmental crimes and?support vulnerable citizens.?You will also challenge acts of?anti-social behaviour by using delegated powers from Nottingham City Council with the aim of making Nottingham a Safe and?Cleaner environment.?No two days are the same in this challenging but highly rewarding role. ?? ?? ?

Do you have the qualities to be a Community Protection officer?

? A professional, calm and positive manner

? An ability to be sensitive but remain objective

? Effective communication and listening skills

? Ability to work shifts and be flexible

? The confidence to tackle inappropriate behaviours

? The ability to work in a team, but equally under your own initiative

? The skills to deal with people from different religious, social backgrounds, ages and levels of education

? Good written skills and attention to detail

? Must complete level 5 of the multi stage fitness test (bleep test)

? Ability to work out of doors in varying weather conditions on solo patrol as directed.
