2023 got off to a rocky start – both for Duke basketball and in Congress... However, I remain as committed as ever to getting things done for San Diegans.
My fellow Democrats and I are hard at work continuing to fight climate change, implementing the landmark progress we enacted last year, and tackling ongoing challenges facing our communities, like affordable health care, housing, immigration, and more.
Read the full update below for more details about our work so far this year, and make sure to follow the campaign on Facebook [[link removed]] , Twitter [[link removed]] , and Instagram [[link removed]] to stay up-to-date.
I’m looking forward to what this year will bring!
As always, I’m grateful to have your support.

Fighting for Clean Energy
Scott is continuing to fight for our country’s swift transition to a clean energy economy. The only way to ensure this green future is by overhauling the outdated permitting processes that stand in the way of moving clean energy projects forward. Scott knows that environmental protection and energy security can’t wait – that’s why he’s leading this fight. [[link removed]]

Standing up for Veterans and Afghan Refugees
At this year’s State of the Union, Scott brought former Afghan interpreter Rahmat Mokhtar as his guest to shine a light on the ongoing need for Afghan refugee support. [[link removed]] Last year he introduced the Afghan Adjustment Act to provide resources for our Afghan allies who fought alongside U.S. troops, and their families who have been forced out of their home country.
