Last October, I sent you an email about Restoration PAC – a right-wing super PAC – that forked over more than $180,000 to defeat me here in IL-06.

Well, the MAGA megadonors behind Restoration PAC (insurrection enthusiasts Dick and Elizabeth Uihlein) are back in the news because financial reports show they spent a staggering $36 million to defeat Democrats and progressive policies in 2022.

But folks, this is just one example of how this kind of exorbitant cash in politics threatens our democracy.

Right now, a few ultra-wealthy MAGA extremists are single-handedly altering the outcome of our elections, crushing policies that benefit the many, and funding disinformation campaigns that sway millions of voters.

But none of that will change unless we elect a pro-democracy majority to retake Congress in 2024. And to do that, we’ve got to match the GOP’s war chest dollar for dollar.

So I’m asking you, friend, to help us win this fight by making a grassroots contribution of $25 or more towards my critical end-of-month goal. Can I count on your support?
