Williams Weekly
Dear Texans,
This week, I was proud to lead the Small Business Committee in an oversight effort of the Biden Administration's regulatory agenda. In the first two years in office, President Biden has issued nearly $360 billion in new regulatory costs on small businesses. As our nation’s job creators deal with unprecedented levels of inflation and supply chain disruptions, it is imperative we are not adding additional layers of compliance to further limit their ability to grow. Touring UT Arlington
It was great to meet with UT Arlington President Jennifer Cowley and tour the Aerodynamics Research Center. We discussed exciting things going on with the campus and the issues that are most important to higher education.
Coffee with the Congressman
I enjoyed hosting a listening session with members of the Glen Rose and Somervell County communities. I gave an update on my work in Washington and answered questions on the economy, my role as Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, and the border.
Ensuring the Safety of our TX-25 Schools
My top priority is ensuring our schools have the tools and resources available to protect students. This week I was pleased to meet with the Burleson ISD leadership and hear about their new school safety protocols and share more on my bipartisan school security bill that would bolster the physical security of our schools.
In God we trust,
Roger Williams
Member of Congress
