We'll get right to the point,
John:

Since winning the election last year, our online fundraising has slowed
dramatically. A small slowdown is natural after a busy period like an
election, but we're starting to get antsy that our numbers won't pick up
in time to cover our operational costs.

What does a campaign do in the off-year? Great question. Much of what we
do during the “off-year” lays the groundwork for success during an
election year, for Cori that means:

* Amplifying her legislative work in Congress.
* Combating attacks from far right extremists and media outlets like Fox
News
* Educating the public about her policies in ways that are accessible,
like how a Green New Deal for Cities could impact their town, or how
the fall of Roe v. Wade impacts their access to health care.
* Ensuring Cori has a strong presence in her community, and much more.

These efforts create a strong foundation for victory during the Election
Year — and we cannot miss opportunities by falling short on our
end-of-month goals. That's why we're hoping we can count on this
grassroots movement to step up and help us make up the difference over the
next few days.

February fundraising gap?

[ [link removed] ]Chip in $5

We believe our movement should be grounded in people — not special
interests. It's why Cori doesn't accept a cent from corporate PACs, and
it's how she's able to fight for people-first solutions in Congress like
Medicare for All and student debt cancellation.

But that means we rely 100% on grassroots donations of $5, $10, or $15 to
power our movement to re-elect the first activist from the movement in
defense of Black lives elected to federal office.

[ [link removed] ]It's really important we receive enough contributions to stay on track
with our projections and ensure we have the resources to keep Cori in
Congress — chip in $5 today.

Thank you,

Team Cori
