Hey John, I’m sorry for emailing so early on a Sunday, but I can’t sleep.

On Friday, I met with our finance team and they told me that we’re falling behind on our fundraising goal for this month.

Falling short on our finances means getting less work done in our fight to hold government leaders accountable. We may have to scale back on our efforts to disqualify Trump from holding office, removing Louis DeJoy from his position as Postmaster General, or our investigations into the dark money spent in politics.

I really don’t want that to happen. And with the end of the month just around the corner, I couldn’t waste another second waiting to reach out.
