Trump’s impeachment trial just kicked off in the Senate, and already, Republicans are up to no good.

Senators who swore oaths to do “impartial justice” are doing everything but. Take Senator David Perdue, who said that, “I am personally of the opinion that we ought to dismiss this [impeachment trial] out of hand right now.” ^[1]

That doesn’t sound like impartial justice to us. That sounds like Mitch McConnell and his cowardly GOP senators using their majority to dismiss charges against Trump without considering evidence. That’s not a trial, it’s a sham.

We’re not getting mad, we’re getting even. Perdue and 7 other vulnerable senators are up for re-election this year. If we beat 4 of them, we can flip the Senate and take away Mitch’s power.
