I wanted to take a moment to address an issue that’s been in the news lately. It’s relevant nationally and, unfortunately, it’s become relevant in my race: people questioning a woman's electability in a contested race.

In my district, I’m the only woman running on both the Democratic or the Republican side. Just take a look at this photo from our debate last week:

I’d be lying if I said this issue hasn’t come up. But that didn’t stop me from entering this race, and it’s not going to stop me from doing everything I can to win it. Because fundamentally, I not only believe that women can win, but that we need more women representing us in Congress.
