Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) supporters characterize the bill as merely enshrining the basic legal equality of men and women into the highest law of the land, the reality is that the Amendment could have sweeping consequences unintended by voters. Risking those consequences is foolish when legal equality is already guaranteed by the Constitution and buttressed by federal and state law. ** Fearing Wrath of Trans Community, New York Public Library Cancels “Evening with Cancelled Women” ([link removed])

The New York Public Library was scheduled to be the venue for a discussion led by a group of feminists who describe themselves as “Cancelled Women," who claim that they have faced opposition because they have “have refused to be silenced by the authoritarian Left.” But then the NYPL cancelled the event, making the women doubly cancelled, and effectively silencing them until they can find another place to hold the event. The cancellation, according to the NY Post, was because the group was critical of the glorification of the trans movement.
