I'm honored to announce our next guest on WV Can't Wait Live: Dr. Shanequa Smith! Shanequa is a powerhouse organizer and inspiration across WV and I think it's impossible to find someone who isn't in awe of her work. She started the WV Black Voter Impact Initiative, was a leader in organizing the first and second WV Black Policy Day at the legislature, and supports Black, young, and impoverished people across the state through restorative actions. I will never be able to list all the wonderful things Shanequa is involved with in one email, so tune in and find out for yourself.

And in case you missed it, our last event we checked in with Councilwoman Rosemary Ketchum in Wheeling. Rosemary shared how and why young folks should be making decisions, the support she's felt from her community and the WV Can't Wait movement, and the endless optimism and strategies for reclaiming the narrative about our state.
