Dear John,
It is nice to be home in Minnesota for another district work week, but like many of you, my travel was disrupted by the inclement weather.
On that note, I hope everyone is safe and staying warm after a rough two-day storm that left over 14 inches of snowfall at my house.
President Biden decided to spend Presidents’ Week in Ukraine, giving speeches and promising endless financial support while everyday Americans are struggling. He didn’t visit the residents of East Palestine, Ohio, in their time of need after the mismanagement of a major train derailment. The president often pivots to foreign affairs when his leadership fails at home. He gave up on working-class Americans. His administration failed to act promptly or with ample concern to address this ongoing crisis. His trip to Ukraine during an ongoing disaster is symbolic of his absentee leadership and indifference to the plights facing our country.
On a personal note, Scott and I are filled with joy to announce that we are expecting our seventh grandchild in the spring! Life is a gift from God, and we are so blessed with all of our grandchildren.
I had the opportunity to join other Congressional grandmothers on Fox & Friends to discuss how my family inspires me to serve every day.
