John,
This is Congressman Sanford Bishop, and I’m teaming up with the Collective PAC to build Black political power. To help us in our mission, can you split a contribution between the Collective PAC and me ahead of our end-of-month fundraising deadline?
Before running for office, I was a civil rights attorney involved in a lawsuit against the Georgia State Prison in Reidsville on behalf of 6,000 African-American inmates. While incarcerated, these inmates were experiencing a wide range of constitutional violations of their rights at the hands of this Georgia State Prison.
Thankfully, the federal judge heard the case and decided that the state must improve conditions and rectify the constitutional violations that inmates were experiencing. However, every time we would have status conferences, our state’s attorney general would come back and say that the legislature had not appropriated the money to make the necessary changes.
After hearing that for three and a half years, I was beyond frustrated — it was time to act. I decided that I needed to run for the legislature to help deliver real justice for Georgians.
Across the country, from local to federal races, there are so many candidates with similar stories. Candidates, especially those of color, see issues that have been ignored for far too long and are running for office to make real change.
The Collective PAC is doing critical work to reach voters and support these candidates so we can address the underrepresentation of African-Americans in office and build a new generation of African-American leaders.
So, John, will you split a contribution between the Collective PAC and my campaign before our end-of-month deadline? Reaching these goals are critical to continuing our work.
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately and split between Sanford Bishop and The Collective PAC.

Thank you,
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.
The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of
power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Since our inception in 2016, we have helped 110 candidates win general elections at the local, state and federal levels. We strive to support the next wave of
progressive and unapologetic Black candidates who will usher in a sea of change in our political system while helping America fulfill its promise of democracy by creating a government that will truly be for the people and of the people.
