House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has handed the full cache of January 6 videos
over to . . . Tucker Carlson.(1)

Just days ago, court filings proved that Fox "News" pundits -- including
Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham -- knew that there was zero
evidence of voter fraud, while at the same time they were on the air
pushing Donald Trump’s conspiracy theories and calling President Biden’s
election illegitimate.(2)

Now Tucker Carlson has been handed the January 6 video so he can rewrite
that narrative?!

Fox "News" has done outrageous things before, but this is beyond the pale.
We must stop Fox "News." Our coalition has already collected hundreds of
thousands of signatures, demanding that cable companies drop Fox and that
advertisers pull their dollars, and most of the largest advertisers have
dropped the channel.(3) Now we need to ensure that as many people as
possible demand that their cable companies to stop paying for Fox "News."

Fox "News" played a role in causing the January 6 insurrection. Full stop.
Fox "News" isn’t a real "news" channel at all, but a propaganda machine
that has zero ethical standards.

Yet Speaker McCarthy promised, under pressure from MAGA Republicans like
Marjorie Taylor Greene, to give Carlson access to 40,000 hours of tapes
from January 6. And now Carlson has access to video that no one else has
-- video that could be cut, edited, and recast to tell more lies about
what happened on January 6.(4)

Fox "News" may have power over Kevin McCarthy, but we have power over Fox
"News." The channel has lost so many advertisers that the network depends
on fees from 70 million cable subscribers -- but only a tiny fraction of
those subscribers are regular viewers. If enough of us demand that cable
providers cut Fox "News" from our cable packages, we can weaken the fake
news channel for good. We are going to post ads, op-eds, and social media
alerts to let as many people as possible know the danger that Fox "News"
poses to our democracy and our society. Will you donate?
