"He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!’"

- Revelation 21:5a

Africa & Europe

Friday marked one year since the invasion of Ukraine, and IJM Romania staff are continuing to provide support to refugees who have fled the war. We are seeing refugees return to shelters in Romania because they’ve had challenges finding appropriate accommodation elsewhere, and our team is providing shelters and others who work with refugees with training on how to spot potential trafficking cases. Pray for Ukrainians displaced by the war, for their protection and for peace so that they can return home.
Latin America

Praise God that after two long years, Evelin* and her family finally found justice in Bolivia. Since April 2021, a team of IJM-trained pro-bono volunteers has relentlessly walked with Evelin and her family through the criminal process. Evelin was sexually assaulted by a man pretending to be a police officer who deceived, kidnapped and sexually assaulted her when she was only 15 years old. Earlier this month, this man was found guilty of the rape of a minor and sentenced to 20 years.

South Asia

Pray for our technology innovation in South Asia and around the world. We are continuously trying to improve our internal systems to enable front-line teams to run faster while equipping local authorities to use technology better—as with investigations techniques or more sophisticated crime databases. Pray for stamina for some of our technology teams rolling out new systems in the next few months, and pray these solutions would help accelerate justice in the region.

Asia Pacific

Praise God for local government leaders in the Philippines that are speaking out against the Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC)! This month, two local ordinances were passed that will protect children from online abuse and exploitation. Pray that these laws will bring justice to survivors of OSEC and prevent children in the Philippines from ever experiencing it in the first place!
IJM Global Office & Partners

The IJM global office is located in the United States. IJM has Partner Offices in Australia, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Praise God for the opportunity to gather virtually for a quarterly prayer retreat! Yesterday, IJM staff in North America gathered to be enriched by teaching, worship and prayer. Please pray that these individuals will return to work on Monday feeling refreshed and reminded of God’s presence in their day-to-day work.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them,
please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
