This week, Heritage Action has been busy creating tools to equip your activism, spreading the conservative message, and connecting you with your representatives.

Connecting voters with representatives

This week Heritage Action connected voters in Tennessee with their federal representatives. In Tennessee's 7th congressional district, Representative Mark Green met with Heritage Action Sentinels giving them the opportunity to to speak and ask questions of him directly.

In that same week, Tennessee’s representative from the 5th congressional district, Representative Andy Ogles, met with Heritage Action Sentinels in his district.

The United States is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Any time constituents and representatives take the time to engage in meaningful conversation helps strengthen the republic.

Thank you to all the Sentinels who showed up to make these events a success. Thank you also to Rep. Mark Green and Rep. Andy Ogles for spending time with the grassroots!

Sounding the Alarm

Heritage Action Executive Director, Jessica Anderson appeared on Just the News with investigative reporter John Solomon for Heritage Action’s monthly Special Report.

This month, Jessica and each of the guests continued sounding the alarm of the threat of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) agenda. This movement is corporatism at its worst.

Woke asset managers such as Blackrock, Vanguard, and State Street are using the trillions of dollars invested in them to strong-arm and bully other major corporations in complying with far-left priorities including “climate radicalism, gender ideology, gun control and even abortion-on-demand.”

Their goal? To subvert and change American culture to reflect their left-wing, authoritarian impulses. All the while, they will be lining their pockets with your money, as they use their liberal policies to box out competition.

Federal Action

Federal agencies have also advanced the ESG agenda. The Biden administration has issued a rule through the Department of Labor (DOL) that would allow employers to consider ESG criteria while making investment decisions for their 401(k) retirement plans.

This new ESG rule will negatively impact 152 million Americans, who are saving for retirement with 401(k) and other retirement plans.

Biden’s new rule goes beyond “allowing” for ESG investing, it pushes for it to become the standard—ESG funds can now be used as the default option for workers automatically enrolled into their retirement accounts

In response, Rep. Andy Barr and Sen. Mike Braun have proposed legislation that would repeal Biden's pro-ESG rule. Washington needs to keep their hands off of our retirement accounts. 401(k)’s should not be politicized to push the Left’s ESG agenda.

Regulations to defeat

Biden’s DOL regulation isn’t the only one in need of defeating. There are two other major regulations that need to be heavily opposed.

Save our Stoves

In the face of dramatic inflation, an approaching debt ceiling, and emboldened China, waning military strength, rising crime, and sky high energy costs, Biden's Department of Energy thinks that the real problem plaguing this country is your gas stove.

Biden’s new gas stove rule would require manufacturers to meet arbitrary, and stringent energy consumption standards that will cost millions of dollars in upfront costs. Food prices are up—and now cooking stoves will cost more too!

40% of homes in the U.S. use gas stoves and the overwhelming majority of restaurants do too. These regulations would be an undue burden for millions of Americans and several major industries.

Conscience Protections for Medical Workers

Currently, doctors, nurses, and other medical workers are NOT required to participate in, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for, services such as abortion, sterilization, or assisted suicide.

These conscience protections are important for medical workers—but they are also important for ALL of us. If doctors are forced to provide abortions, it will push many good, god-fearing people out of the profession. This will lower the standard of medical care for all of us, and give sole control of America’s health care to the far-Left.

The Biden Administration is threatening to remove these conscious protections!
Biden’s HHS would repeal these protections and force conscientious objectors into performing medical procedures that they object to morally, or risk losing their jobs.
