John, it’s
unbelievable.
While you’ve been paying the price at the pump, Big Oil is raking in
record profits. They’ve been price gouging millions of customers and
calling it “inflation” — and they’re getting away with it.
These companies are shameless in their extortion, all for the sake of
lining their stakeholders’ pockets at the expense of everyone else.
Combined, BP, Shell, and Exxon made $123,600,000,000 in 2022.

But here’s the kicker: every single House Republican voted against ending
price gouging just like this.
[ [link removed] ]It’s clear that Republicans are unwilling to put our communities ahead
of their own wallets — which is why Pramila has fought for economic and
environmental justice at every turn. Can you chip in $3 to
support her today?

While the GOP blames Democrats for the high cost of necessities like gas
and groceries, they’ve blocked every effort we’ve made to help working
people get by. Instead, they give handouts to industries like Big Oil.
It’s despicable.
Our forests are burning. Our towns are flooding. Severe storms have
incapacitated our cities. And what do corporations like Shell, Exxon, and
BP do? They double down on their business plan to wreak havoc on our
climate and come up with new ways to rip us off. Oil companies have known
about climate change for decades and done nothing to stop it — they’ll do
whatever it takes to make a profit, and Republicans will let them.
But Pramila isn’t letting Big Oil get away with it. She’s been fighting
for a Green New Deal since it was first introduced in the House in 2018.
As Chair of the Progressive Caucus, Pramila is leading the charge for
climate and environmental justice. But she can’t do it alone.
[ [link removed] ]She needs our help to stand up to Big Oil and fight back against the
GOP majority. Will you support Pramila today with a donation of
$3 or more?
In solidarity,
— Team Jayapal
