Governor Kelly Tours Topeka Elementary and Middle School, Participates in Roundtable Discussion on Importance of Fully Funding Special Education Programs

Governor Kelly Meets Students

?Before I took office, our public schools were not getting the funds they needed for our students to thrive. I?m proud of the work we?ve done to fully fund public education for four years in a row, but we can?t leave a single student behind.?Every student deserves resources and support to succeed in the classroom. My budget puts Kansas on track to fully fund special education for the first time in over a decade. We owe it to our students to fully fund special education.?

Governor Kelly Cashes In

?I was thrilled to be in Kansas City today to cash in on our state?s first legal sports bet, and to send my winnings to such a great cause. I can?t think of a better way to honor the Chiefs and Super Bowl LVII MVP Patrick Mahomes than by giving my wins to his foundation, which is doing so much good for our children.
