This week marks one year since Russia initiated a premeditated and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

The continued attacks on the Ukrainian people and their democracy through Vladimir Putin’s unjustified and militant aggression have displaced tens of millions of innocent people and resulted in a catastrophic loss of life.

I continue to stand in solidarity with both Ukrainian people fighting to defend their country and Ukrainian refugees fleeing an active warzone.

The bravery, resilience, and determination that the people of Ukraine have shown over the past year is nothing short of extraordinary. But they did not choose this path. And right now, there is an ongoing global humanitarian crisis as a direct result of this illegal war.

So today, I want to direct you to an important local organization that is working to provide urgent assistance to Ukrainians at home and abroad:
