*Board of County Commissioners announce the appointment of Jack Moore, Planning and Development Services Director *

The Skagit County Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce the appointment of Jack Moore to the position of Planning and Development Services Director. Jack has been serving as Planning and Development Services Assistant Director since December 2022.

A Skagit County native, Jack has provided Skagit County and the community a longstanding service history.?He has dedicated over 25 years to public service in local planning and building departments, including 19 years working for Skagit County?s Planning and Development Services Department. He brings with him extensive experience in planning, building codes, floodplain management, fire prevention, natural resources, and economic development.

?Jack has tremendous technical and leadership experience that will be incredibly beneficial in this new position,? said Board of County Commissioner Chair Ron Wesen. ?His broad array of experience and commitment to Skagit County and the community will be a huge asset.?



Jack will bring his collaborative leadership style, commitment to accountability to the community and proven record of performance to this new role.?He is looking forward to leading his team and plans to help steer the department through its upcoming service delivery update that will better serve the needs of our changing community.
