Hey John,

We've been talking a lot about what's happening in redistricting and how important a fair redistricting process and fair maps are for protecting voters. Well, it's time to find out how much you know about what's happening in North Carolina -- whose legislators want to overturn the Harper v. Hall decision -- and what A.G. Holder said about it.

It agreed to reconsider the Harper v. Hall ruling that struck down the legislature’s gerrymandered state senate map.

They filed their petition to undermine the state’s system of checks and balances, under their belief that new justices on the state supreme court would side with them simply because they have the same party affiliation.

This former U.S. Attorney General said the petition to reconsider Harper v. Hall was “not a function of legal principle – it is an indication of political opportunism.”
