GOP Women Lori Chavez-DeRemer and Jen Kiggans Visit the Southern Border
Last Thursday, GOP Women Jen Kiggans (VA-02) and Lori Chavez-DeRemer (OR-05) joined Speaker McCarthy and other Republican Representatives on a trip to the Southern Border to witness Biden’s Border Crisis first-hand.
“As a mother and a former mayor, I’m troubled by the humanitarian crisis unfolding not only at the border, but also in our local communities. Cartels are funneling fentanyl across the border in massive amounts, which has turned every state into a border state. It’s had a particularly profound impact on Oregon, which ranks number one in drug problems but number 50 in drug treatment.” - Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer
Jen previously served as a Virginia State Senator, nurse practitioner, and former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot. Jen served for ten years in the U.S. Navy, completing two deployments to the Persian Gulf as a H-46 and H-3 helicopter pilot. In 2019, Jen was elected to the Virginia State Senate, representing District 7, including parts of Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Throughout her time as a State Senator, Jen was a key voice against the Democrats’ one-party rule and served as a champion for veterans, military, seniors, patients, working families, and the unborn. She lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia, with her husband Steve, a retired U.S. Navy F-18 pilot, and four children.
THIS WEEK JEN VISITED OUR SOUTHERN BORDER AND WITNESSED THE CRISIS FIRST HAND. JEN HAS BEEN VOCAL IN CALLING ON THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION TO FIX THIS CRISIS. SHOW JEN YOUR SUPPORT!
