I want to start by telling you a bit about what our grassroots movement for fair maps has accomplished over the past few years.

Thanks to supporters like you, Democrats secured what the New York Times called the fairest congressional map in 40 years—which resulted in defeating election deniers in key battleground states, and flipping control of multiple state legislative chambers across the country.

But let me be perfectly clear: Now is not the time to take our democracy for granted.

It’s up to us to not only protect the progress we have made but also build on it for future generations. Will you pitch in now to help the National Democratic Redistricting PAC and Josh Shapiro continue this critical work?

We’re heading into 2023 facing a number of ongoing challenges.

• A quarter of our states still have gerrymandered maps.
• Republicans want to reverse fairly-drawn maps in key states.
• The Supreme Court will decide two cases that are critical to the fight for fair maps, with the Voting Rights Act and our system of checks and balances at stake.

John, the path to progress is winding. In a fight for a more fair and just system, progress isn’t measured over seasons, years, or decades. Progress is measured over generations.
