The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
House Judiciary Committee Field Hearing from the Border
This week, I traveled with the House Judiciary Committee to Yuma, Arizona, to conduct a live congressional hearing from the border. Yuma is considered ‘Ground Zero’ for the Biden Border Crisis due to the historic number of encounters recorded there and the lack of Border Patrol personnel. House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan invited all Members sitting on the committee to participate in the hearing, but every Democrat declined.
Before the hearing, my colleagues and I toured the border wall, including the sections open at Morelos Dam that Secretary Mayorkas has still yet to fill, the Yuma Regional Medical Center, Yuma Community Food Bank, and other sensitive locations around the U.S.-Mexico border. We also met with local and state officials to gather more insight into the policies and resources they need from Congress. Illegal aliens are depleting Yuma’s resources and residents in the city are beginning to look elsewhere for care.
At the hearing, we heard testimony from Jonathan Lines, the Yuma County Supervisor District 2, Leon Wilmot, Yuma County Sheriff, and Robert Trenschel, President and CEO of the Yuma Regional Medical Center.
We concluded the trip by holding a press conference at Yuma City Hall to further highlight the severity of the Biden Border Crisis and its impacts on Yuma, the state, and the rest of the nation.
I’d like to thank the House Judiciary Committee for organizing this important trip and the witnesses who took the time to provide us with new knowledge.
A recap of the hearing may be viewed here.

Waymo One Autonomous Vehicle Experience
Earlier this week, I toured the Waymo autonomous vehicle technology company in Phoenix. Waymo now operates a fully-autonomous ride-hailing service, Waymo One, in the city after originally only operating in Chandler.
I participated in the fully autonomous vehicle experience. There was no human driver behind the wheel!
I’m grateful to experience Waymo One and to learn how the company is positively impacting Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District and the greater Phoenix area.

Legislation
Bills cosponsored:
H.R. 1122 - CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act.
H.R. 1121 - Protecting American Energy Production Act.
My America First Contract
House Republicans will need to immediately reverse the Democrats’s disastrous policies to get our country back in good shape.
My America First Contract is an outline to reduce inflation and strengthen the economy, secure our border, restore transparency and parental choice in education, reduce violent crime and preserve the rule of law, restore election integrity, break up Big Tech, put America First in foreign, energy, and trade policies, and reinstate good government practices.
In addition to achieving these eight goals, the plan calls on conducting enhanced oversight and using available leverages to stop the abuse of power from President Biden in 2023. I will introduce legislation supporting each area of the plan within the first 100 days of the next Congressional term and will work with my colleagues to bring that legislation up for consideration in the House.
The full contract may be read here.
Alien Invasion Border Documentary
Check out my border documentary titled Alien Invasion. The 30-minute documentary features footage from private ranches along the border, the Darien Gap in Panama, and interviews with members of Congress, Border Patrol, local and state law enforcement, and much more. It addresses how President Biden’s border crisis began, its consequences, and solutions to address the crisis.
The border documentary may be watched here.

Definition of the Week
This week, President Biden made a surprise visit to Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and tout the U.S.-Ukraine partnership amid the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of the country.
In speeches and on social media, Biden repeatedly made it known that the United States “stands” with Ukraine. However, Biden has made it also clear that he does not “stand” with East Palestine, Ohio, a town that was recently ravaged by toxic chemicals from a train derailment.
In fact, it’s been nearly a month since the explosion occurred and Biden has not found any time to visit the Ohio town. It’s telling that Biden would stand with Ukraine rather than a town in his own country.
Inspired by Joe Biden, here is the definition of the week:
“Stand”: Biden stands with other nations before his own.
