Hey John,
I wanted to make sure you saw Suzan's message from yesterday.
It's true -- today is the 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. We've had the right to safe and legal abortion for nearly half a century, but some politicians still think they know better than a woman when it comes to her personal health care decisions.
No matter what these other lawmakers might think, women's rights are human rights, which is why our government should be working to improve access to health care. Suzan is fighting to protect women's rights in 2020 and beyond. If you're with her, add your name today.
Thank you,
Mel

Subject: Two anniversaries this week
Friends,
The first Women's March was one of the most inspiring moments of my life. I'll never forget what it was like being side-by-side hundreds of men and women who were all marching for the same reason: to defend the individual freedoms affirmed by our Constitution.
In the three years since, the Trump administration has enacted a "gag" rule, gutted crucial funds for Planned Parenthood, and nominated a pro-life justice to the Supreme Court.
And just 48 hours into the New Year, anti-choice congressional members filed an amicus brief to demand the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade.
I will not let extremist lawmakers determine the decisions a woman can and cannot make about her own body. As your congresswoman, I will fight for every person's constitutional right to safe, legal abortion. If you're still committed to the ideals of the Women's March, join me in standing up for Roe v. Wade this anniversary.
The Women's March was a watershed moment, but it was hardly the end of our activism because some politicians will stop at nothing to obstruct women’s reproductive rights.
Friend, as well as defending Roe, I am committed to protecting our majority. In divisive times like these, it is crucial we have lawmakers in the House who understand a woman's decisions about her health are between her and her doctor -- not the government.
As we commemorate the anniversary of the Women's March, we must recommit to protecting Roe v. Wade and defending women’s health care for generations to come. Please sign my petition to stand with women everywhere as we tackle these latest challenges.
Thank you,
Suzan DelBene
