Hi John,
I’m Col. Pam Stevenson, and I’m fighting to be the People’s Lawyer as Kentucky’s next Attorney General.
I’m no stranger to defying expectations, John. When I entered the U.S. Air Force, I knew I wanted to serve by teaching justice and human rights around the world. Despite a lack of women in leadership in the U.S. military ranks, I served more than 27 years as a J.A.G. officer.
When I returned home from my work fighting for justice and human rights abroad, I continued the fight right here in Kentucky. I’m just one of four Black women ever elected to the Kentucky state legislature. I’m the first Black woman to secure a major party's nomination for KY Attorney General. And at this very moment, I’m fighting to officially recognize the last day of February, the day connecting Black and Women’s History Months, as a day to honor Black women.
Growing up in West Louisville around the church my grandfather founded and my time in the Air Force taught me that with hard work, grit, and dedication to service for others, anything is possible. I've always fought to ensure our families are cared for, our communities are safe, and our children are protected. But to win this race, I need your help.
