They’re doing exactly what we thought they would, John.

The Senate impeachment trial of Donald Trump began yesterday, and already
the entire Republican party has voted against allowing witnesses and
evidence to be heard. Not a single one of them did the right thing and put
country over party. Utterly spineless.

It should go without saying that the American people demand and deserve a
fair trial of this corrupt president. What Republicans are delivering
instead isn’t a trial, but a complete sham.

The fact that every single Republican Senator is going against their oath
for the sake of defending Trump just moves us closer to becoming more of a
dictatorship than a democracy.

We need to put the heat on these Senators, now.

Let’s make it clear to the Senate GOP that their betrayal of country will
not be forgotten. We will hold them accountable at the polls this
November.
