*Operational Updates:*

* Michigan's Secretary of State offices are now one of the most efficient DMV systems in the nation, if not the best. We offer more options online, more reliable self-service stations - many in grocery stores open evenings and weekends - and visitors to our offices are in and out in an average of 20 minutes or less.

* And we're not done improving our system. We've asked the new Michigan Legislature for assistance achieving the following goals:

*

*Enabling online title transfers?*? Other states already offer this service, and once the technology is put into place, residents could go online to do what is now one of the most frequent in-office transactions.

*

*Expanding our mobile office program*?? Secretary of State mobile offices [ [link removed] ] serve people with challenges accessing the internet and our offices, including seniors, people in foster care, and rural residents. By adding four more mobile units the Department can provide this support to residents in every region of our state.

*

*Expanding the Road to Restoration program*?? In Oct. 2021, laws went into effect that cancelled violations on the driving records of 350,000 Michiganders, enabling many of them to regain their driving priivileges. Last year, Road to Restoration [ [link removed] ], a public-private partnership of the Secretary of State, the Department of Attorney General, the Detroit Justice Center, DTE Energy, Miller Canfield and others, held 18 driver's license restoration clinics across the state, helping 4,000 residents get on a path to regaining their license. More clinics are being scheduled this year to provide lifechanging assistance to more people and their families.
