Today we celebrate nearly half a century of Roe v. Wade.

47 years ago the Supreme Court decided Roe v. Wade, and declared access to a safe and legal abortion a constitutional right.

Some of my earliest memories were attending Pro-choice rallies on my mom’s shoulders. Her activism encouraged me to volunteer at Planned Parenthood in my early adulthood.

I am a proud supporter of the right to choose and always have been. This is an essential part of healthcare and it should not be up for debate. Unfortunately, hundreds of Republican lawmakers are pushing the Supreme Court to overturn this landmark case, and set women’s rights back for decades. One of the leaders of this extremist movement? Our opponent, Matt Rosendale.

Rosendale wants to ban abortions, with no exceptions. This is dangerous and cruel.

Rosendale calls for small government with minimal interference in daily life, yet he wants the government to come between a woman and her doctor.
